In order to book your place on the trek, we ask you to pay a registration fee of £350.
There are two ways you can take part in the trek - either by raising a minimum amount of sponorship, or by covering the costs of the event yourself with no minimum amount of sponsorship needed.
We are here to help you with fundraising ideas and help every step of the way.
SPONSORSHIP
If you can raise a minimum of £3,600 in sponsorship this will cover both the costs of the trip (flights, accommodation, food, guides etc.) and a donation to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity.
80% (£2,880) of the sponsorship must be paid to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity by 2nd September 2024.
The remaining balance of £720 must be paid to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity by the departure date.
SELF-FUNDED
You can pay the costs of the trip (flights, accommodation, food, guides etc.) yourself at a cost of £1,800 and then there will be no minimum sponsorship level required to join the trek, although we would expect you to try and raise as much sponsorship as possible.

At The Giles' Trust we are so grateful to work with the most fantastic fundraisers and Team Colin certainly are fantastic fundraisers. Over the last two years they have raised an amazing £120,000 for The Giles’ Trust Brain Tumour Fund in memory of their dear friend Colin Broomfield.
Colin sadly lost his battle with cancer in February 2020 after being diagnosed with a terminal glioblastoma brain tumour. Colin's friends and family named themselves 'Team Colin' and undertook various fundraising challenges from bike rides to collection goblets, to gaining support from local businesses and hosting a charity dinner. They really did go over and above to support patients like Colin.
Colin's wife Fiona said she would like to benefit The Giles' Trust because they knew Ashley and Stine Giles from Bromsgrove School and Stine had been so helpful in supporting them and giving advice.
Colin's friends said "It was a good way to remember Colin, it has given us all some great memories and raised some funds towards the great work that The Giles' Trust does. Colin was one of the good guys, great fun and a true friend"
The Giles' Trust are so grateful to Colin's family and friends for helping us to fund much needed research, pioneering equipment and support for brain tumour patients and their families.
If you have been inspired by Team Colin's fundraising and would like to fundraise for us then get in touch.
